For a client who loves bright colors and desperately needed two bathrooms renovated, we didn’t hold back when it came to the bold color selection of these custom cabinets.
For this green master bath, storage was the biggest problem. Without a linen closet, the goal was to try to create a medicine cabinet to provide more storage. We were able to utilize a hidden cavity behind the sink wall and designed and built a drawer style medicine cabinet that pulls out to make use of the depth. We ran the counter top material up the back wall and created a small shelf and added two additional accent shelves all with the intention of getting things up off the counter and providing more space for beautiful jars of creams, canisters for things like cotton balls and other daily grooming supplies and toiletry items. In addition to the new sconce on the wall above the shelves, five new light sources were installed to maximize light. In addition, the mirrors are back lit for an overall even glow of light around the face to prevent casting harsh shadows around the eyes from overhead light. We ran the calacutta tile up the back of the sink wall in a herringbone pattern to accent this focal wall.
In the blue secondary bath shared by two siblings, we the divided space up equally giving each person a sink and a tower of their own to store their things. We used sconces on each side to provide illumination around the face, dedicated a hand towel bar to each sibling, and reconfigured the the custom base cabinets to also create division and ownership of space.
